Ohio Man Under Arrest For Lynchburg City Hall Bomb Threat

An Ohio man is under arrest, accused of making a bomb threat at Lewisburg City Hall Tuesday. Police say they worked with the FBI, State Police and police in Cleveland to arrest Michael Neely Jr. He’s charged in Greenbrier County Magistrate Court with Felony Threats of Terrorist Acts and False Reports Concerning Bombs or Other Explosive Devices. Neely Jr is behind bars there but will be extradited back to West Virginia.

Governor Says “Thugs” Comments Doesn’t Make Him Racist

West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice on Wednesday said it’s absurd to accuse him of racism for calling a high school girls basketball team “thugs” after a scuffle broke out at a game. Justice’s defense comes a day after a game involving Greenbrier East High School, where he coaches, was forced to end early when the opposing team’s coach got into a tiff with someone in the stands.
Justice’s comments were making the rounds on social media, with one Democratic state lawmaker, Del. Mike Pushkin, tweeting that the governor was making “thinly veiled racial slurs.”

Greenbrier,Monroe Counties Among Those Declared In State Of Emergency By The Governor

Greenbrier, Monroe and Raleigh counties are among seven for whom Governor Jim Justice declared a State of Emergency after heavy rainfall this week that caused significant local flooding. The Governor authorized West Virginia Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management Director Mike Todorovich to support local counties and to use all State resources necessary. The Governor also directed the West Virginia National Guard to assist. The State Emergency Operations Center has been partially activated and is coordinating with officials in the declaration area to determine their needs.
