Lewisburg Ceases Use Of Roundup

The City of Lewisburg has ceased the use of glyphospate-based herbicides like the brand Roundup. The Public Works Department is using acid and plant oil based formulations to control a broad spectrum of noxious and invasive annuals, perennials and grasses in parks, along streets and sidewalks and, around buildings.
This season they’ll be using a flame weeder for some applications, saying they’re committed to finding organic herbicide formulas that work, are safe and cost effective means to control weeds in our landscapes.
