Lewisburg DHS Grants Suspended

The city of Lewisburg is now being told by the West Virginia Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHS) to return abouth $250,000 in grants. That money had been awarded to the city, but after a monitoring visit, DHS found the city wasn’t in compliance with the grant’s conditions and tried to put the city on an improvement plan. Somewhere along the way, DHS did not receive a response, prompting a letter to the city that its grant awards were suspended.
